Breakfast in the wheelhouse with harbor view
Once you discover the Westerdock in the centre of the city, that’s where you’ll want to stay - living amongst the citizens of Amsterdam. In the past, ships came to the docks on the borders of the “Y”, for maintenance and repair. Now around 80 houseboats, mostly historic, are permanently moored there. Our ship , a 100 year-old “Tjalk”, has a splendid and quiet mooring. In the for under of the ship one finds a comfortable studio. B & B guests have their own entrance from a small terrace at the front of the boat. The view of the historical houses of the ‘Zandhoek”, the Grain Silo, and the ultra-modern apartments is impressive. The B & B studio has a spacious double bed, a private shower, toilet and washbasin. There are coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast is served above deck in the wheelhouse. Your hosts are very well informed about cultural events and a wide variety of restaurants in the city and are happy to share their love for Amsterdam with guests from Holland and abroad.
